Virtues of surah Yaseen

Surah Yaseen is the 36th surah in the Quran. It has 83 verses, and got its name by the word 'Ya' and 'Seen' in its first verse.

Among the goodness of reciting surah Yaseen are:

The Prophet saw said, ‘Surely everything has a heart, and the heart of the Qur’an is Yasin. I would love that it be in the heart of every person of my people.’
[Bazzar]. (S.Muhammad Ali Sabuni, Tafsir-al-SabuniVol.2)

Ibn Abbas radiyallahu anhu reports Rasoolullah saw saying, "My heart’s desire is that Surah Yaseen should be present in the heart of every individual of my Ummah."
(Al-Bazzaar)

The Prophet saw said, ‘Whoever recites Yasin once Allah will record the reward of reciting the Qur’an ten times.’
[Maqal, Tirmidhi 2812/A & Dhahabi]

'Ataa' bin Abi Ribaah r.a. says that Rasulullah saw is reported to have said, "Whoever reads surah Yaaseen in the beginning of the day, all his needs for that day are fulfilled." (Darimee)

The Prophet said, ‘Whoever recited Surah Yasin in the night seeking Allah’s pleasure, Allah would forgive him.’
[Ibn Hibban, Darimi 3283/A, Abu Yala, Tabarani, Baihaqi & Ibn Mardawaih]

Ma`qil ibn Yasar r.a. relates that the Messenger of Allah saw said, "Ya Sin is the heart of the Qur’an. No one reads it intending thereby Allah and the Next Abode except that Allah forgives them. Recite it for your deceasedones.”
[Related by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Nasa'i (this wording is his), and Hakim, who deemed it rigorously authenticated (sahih)]

Maqil ibn Yasaar Muzani r.a. reported the Holy Prophet saw as saying, "If anyone recites Yaseen for Allah’s pleasure, his past sins will be forgiven; so recite it on those who are dying."
(Baihaqi)

Maqil ibn Yasaar r.a. reports that the Holy Prophet saw has said, "Recite Surah Yaseen on those who are dying."
(Abu Dawood)

Ummud Darda r.a. reports the Noble Prophet saw saying, "Over no person who is about to die and Surah Yaseen is read upon them but Allah Ta’ala lightens the difficulties of death for him."
(Qurtubi)

Anas r.a. reported Rasoolullah saw as saying, "Whoever goes to the graveyard and reads Surah Yaseen Allah Ta’ala gives them (the grave dwellers) ease that day, and the reciter receives spiritual blessings equivalent to the amount of letters of Surah Yaseen."
(Qurtubi)

Abu Hurairah r.a. reports the Messenger of Allah saw saying, "Whoever recites Surah Yaseen on the eve of Friday he will be forgiven by morning."
(Qurtubi)

In other narration, Abu Hurairah r.a. reports the Holy Prophet saw saying, "Whoever recites Surah Yaseen at night he will be forgiven in the morning, and whoever recites that Surah Haameen in which Dukhaan is mentioned he will be forgiven in the morning."
(Abu Ya’la)

Yaha ibn Abi Kathir says, "This narration has reached me that whoever shall recite Yaseen at night, he remains content till morning and whoever shall recite it in the morning, he remains content till evening. And that person who has related this to me has also experienced this."
(Thalabi said, and Ibn Atiyah has mentioned this and Ibn Atiyah says, "Experience confirms this.)

Aisha r.a. reports Rasoolullah saw saying, "Indeed in the Noble Qur’aan there is a Surah, for its reading will intercede and will be a means of forgiveness for its listener. Listen carefully, it is Surah Yaseen, in the Torah it is called Muimmah."

It was enquired, "O’ Messenger of Allah, what is Muimmah?"

Rasoolullah saw replied, "It contains for its reader the benefits of this world, it removes from him the dread of the next life, and it is called Dafiah and Qadhiyah."

Again it was enquired, "How is this Surah Dafiah and Qadhiyah?"

Rasoolullah saw replied, "It takes away from its reader all afflictions and fulfills his need. Whoever recites it, it will be made equal to twenty pilgrimages. Whoever shall listen to it, it will be as thousand dinars, which he has given as charity in the path of Allah. And whoever shall write it and then drink it, it will enter into his heart a thousand cures, a thousand radiant lights, a thousand times more increase in belief, a thousand mercies, a thousand blessings, a thousand times more increase in guidance, and will remove from him all gall and disease."
(Al-Tha’labi, Hakeem Tirmizi in Nawadrul Usoos)

Imam Ghazali explained that this is because soundness of faith rests on acknowledging Resurrection and Judgment, and Surat Ya Sin details this in the most emphatic of ways. Imam Fakhr al-Din al-Razi concurred.

Imam Tibi explained in his commentary on Mishkat al-Masabih that Surat Ya Sin was called ‘the Heart of the Qur ‘an ‘ because of what it contains of overwhelming proofs, decisive signs, subtle spiritual meanings, eloquent admonition, and stern warnings.

Save Your Day

You need to work on important task and it has to be completed within a short period of time. You got everything in a good condition at the beginning but suddenly in the middle of working, high-level problem arise, thus delaying your work. You can't wait for any longer because you will have to start it all over again. Your time is almost run out. You are stuck in the critical situation. What a chaos! (T_T)

http://mytreetv.wordpress.com/2011/03/28/chaos/

If you are 'You', what will you do?
Get fed-up and starting to question in your very little heart, "Oh God don't do this to me. Why must it happened like this? Why can't You make it ease for me? Why not? Arghhhh...."

Astaghfirullah al'azim...

As a Muslim/Muslimah, how is it for you to supposedly response? Here are few suggestions:
Be patient. Take a deep breath, get some fresh air for few seconds outside your working area and come back to try fixing the problem by yourself or with your friend's help, and then ready to start your work again.
or
If you are not able to fix the problem, stay lovely and calm. Leave it, and don't think about it just for a while. Work on your other less-important tasks and let the problem to be settled by the expertise.
or
If none of them suits you, persuade your mind and soul to have positive thoughts on Allah. It even saves your day!

Allah has mentioned in surah Ash-Shu'ara', verse 209:
"...and never have We been unjust."
in Surah Az-Zumar, verse 10:..
"Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account."
and He also recorded a swear from Iblees in surah Al-Hijr, verse 39-40:..
"I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all.Except, among them, Your chosen servants."

So brothers and sisters, on every difficulties, rely on Allah. Always trust that He Knows what best. Besides, He will never test us unless to upgrade our 'Iman'. So never forget to be thankful every time we are tested.

May Allah bless us.

The Emptiness...

A heart filled with
Greed
Materialism
Egocentrism
is an empty heart.

The owner of the empty heart is...
Self centered
Neglecting people
Didn't fear Allah.
(astaghfirullah...)

Our world-life is too short.
Before it is too late...
Turn to Allah,
Fear Him,
Ask His forgiveness,
Seek His Bless,
Improve manners,
Be kind to people,
Always realize that His Mercy on us is most wide.

Never give-up with Allah,
Let's heal the emptiness,
Overflow your heart with His Love.

"O you who have believed, repent to Allah with sincere repentance. Perhaps your Lord will remove from you your misdeeds and admit you into gardens beneath which rivers flow [on] the Day when Allah will not disgrace the Prophet and those who believed with him."...
(At-Tahrim:8)

...."Indeed, Allah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves."

Superiority of Al-Kahf

It is recommended to recite Surat al-Kahf completely the night before Friday, and on Friday itself, before Maghrib time. There are many saheeh hadith which mentioned about the superiority of reciting Surah Al-Kahf on Friday:

Related by Hakim and Bayhaqi, from Abu Sa`id (Allah be pleased with him),
"Whoever recites Surat al-Kahf on Friday, light shall shine forth for him between the two Fridays."
[Ibn Hajar, Talkhis al-Habir]

Ibn 'Umar reports that the Prophet (saws) said:
"Whoever recites Surah al-Kahf on Jumu'ah will be blessed with a light that will rise from underneath his feet to the peak of the sky. This will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be forgiven for what is between the Jumu'ah [and the next] Jumu'ah."
Related by Ibn Mardwwiyah.

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2175 Narrated by Abu Sa'id: The Prophet (saws) said,
"If anyone recites Surah al-Kahf on Friday, a light will shine brightly for him till the next Friday."
Related by Bayhaqi.

From Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri, who said:
“Whoever readsSoorat al-Kahf on the night of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will stretch between him and the Ancient House (the Ka’bah).”
(Narrated by al-Daarimi, 3407. This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami, 6471)

“Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.”
(Narrated by al-Haakim, 2/399; al-Bayhaqi, 3/249. Ibn Hajar said inTakhreej al-Adhkaar that this is a hasan hadeeth, and he said, this is the strongest report that has been narrated concerning reading Soorat al-Kahf. See: Fayd al-Qadeer, 6/198. It was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 6470)

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
‘Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, a light will shine for him from beneath his feet to the clouds of the sky, which will shine for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be forgiven (his sins) between the two Fridays.’
Al-Mundhiri said, this was narrated by Abu Bakr ibn Mardawayh in his Tafseer, with an isnaad with which there was nothing wrong.

Good Opinion On People

You texted a message to your friend in the middle of your conversation, but suddenly your friend didn't hit a reply even after you have waited for quite a while. You are worried so much and feel depressed and your mind begin to question your friend's passive action.

If you are 'You', what will you do/think?:
Text another message to your friend, forcing to reply right away because your conversation is not finish?
or
Assume that your friend was disagree and become angry with your opinion and in purposely suspend your conversation?
or
Assume that your friend was boring with you and in purposely suspend your conversation?

Picture from http://newmiddle-earth.blogspot.com/2009/11/assumption.html

Be patient, because in real, maybe these things are what actually had happened to your friend:
Your friend thought that your conversation is already finished, so you didn't need a reply
or
Your friend was in the middle of working on important task, forgetting to text you then
or
Your friend was suddenly out of mobile prepaid and unable to reload immediately, but intend to text you back later
or
some other positive assumptions.

Isn't it useful for us to waste time thinking how angry we are for wrong reasons? How bad we are to think negative on other people.  Allah swt has reminds us to always have good opinion on our muslim brothers:

"O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin..."

You x#%@!

An old woman had come to you suddenly and said, "Watch out your mouth, you pig !"
It surprises you because you didn't mention any impolite word to her before. You don't even know her! (T_T). She has made your heart boils...

If you were the unlucky person, will you? :
Go to her with blue-green face and scold her back by saying, "Hey old lady, you watch out your mouth! How dare you say to me like that! I don't even know you, and I never speak dirty to you, so what is your problem with me?"

Astaghfirullah. Let's be more nice and gentle. This is a suggestion for what to tell her:
"I am sorry, but why are you calling me like that? Is there anything I've done that hurt you? Actually, I didn't say anything to you and maybe you are just misheard it. But don't worry, I have forgive you. I guess it was just a miscommunication. May Allah forgive us for what had happened today. Take care."  =)

Remember what our Prophet saw told us?

Abu Hurayrah relates that Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak a good word or remain silent. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should show hospitality to his neighbour. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should show hospitality to his guest."
[Sahih Al-Bukhari and Sahih AlMuslim]

May Allah bless us all.
